Viewers often evaluate photos on the basis of the “like/dislike” and ” beautiful/not beautiful” principles. But the author, if he is really a professional, in addition to his feelings, puts into the work and some sense. Therefore, an advanced viewer often asks: “And what did the author want to say?

It seems that this question sounds too demanding. But he is rational and has the right to exist with the only caveat that should be addressed to the viewer himself. It’s like this: “How do I learn to understand the language of photography?! The master class is devoted to the answer to this question.

We will consider the main components of what is called language. What makes individual sounds in words, which makes it possible to convey the meaning of the photographic image. So the world of disparate components of a photo will gather in a harmonious and clear language row. And different genres of photography will become a kind of dialects.

The practical part will allow to fix the received material – participants will present their critical analyses of photos.

The lesson will be interesting not only for photography enthusiasts, but also for professional photographers who want to deepen their knowledge in photography theory and gain practical skills in creating images for certain semantic tasks.
